Day 95: Candle

Dark wood, soft light, warm wax. Shadows smother, light glows from flickering flame. Drips, drips, drips of creamy wax- malleable, smooth- oozes down. They puddle, curl into knobs. Such softness against the shadows, the ebony- it seems a contrast. But softness is stronger, by far, and hot wax will burn.
