Day 80: When the Sea Loved the Sand

Once in a land by the sea

Lived a girl named Jubilee

And once in the land of sand

Lived a boy named Dan.

Sea and sand do meet

Just as sun and sky repeat

But sand and sea must part

And so too did their hearts.

Now the sea must always recede

And sand can never bleed

In clumps of interlocked slough

Always near, never enough.
